Timothy "Shayne" Busby

Timothy "Shayne" Busby, age 55, passed away on September 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at North Alabama Medical Center. 

Born to the late Clarence Busby and Linda Kobeck Cummings in Lawrence County, Tennessee. Shayne dedicated much of his life to industrial work, where his skill and work ethic showed through. When taking advantage of his free time, he found solace in the great outdoors, enjoying motorcycle rides, fishing trips, and hunting excursions.

Shayne’s love for his family was his true passion. His memory will forever be cherished by his children: Marlana (Duston) Tate, Jesse (Kristin) Busby, and Derrick Busby. He was a proud grandfather to Jackson Glass, Haley Busby, Zoie Busby, Joshua Tate, and Emma Tate, who brought him immense joy. Shayne is also survived by his brothers, Wayne and Richard Busby.

In addition to his parents, Shayne is preceded in death by his sister, Layne Harris, his son, Jason Glass, and his stepfather, Timothy Cummings. Shayne’s legacy of love, hard work, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Blevins Hall in Williams Funeral Home.
