Timmy "Shorty" Wayne Morton

Timmy Wayne “Shorty” Morton of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee passed away Monday March 21, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Shorty was born on September 26, 1964 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late LB Morton and Annie Morton. He was married to his loving wife, Penny Burks Morton, for 28 wonderful years and had four children. Shorty was always the first to help anyone and made sure his family was always taken care of. Taking trips to Tunica with family and going fishing is what he loved to do.

Survivors in addition to his wife include: daughters, Heather Morton of Mt. Pleasant, and Brock Morton of Lawrenceburg; two sons, Trey Morton of Mt. Pleasant, TN, and Dylan Jones of Mt. Pleasant, TN; sister, Peggy Sue Jones of Mt. Pleasant, TN; three nieces, Angie Titus, Cassey Payne and Ashley Wray, Kayla Massey, who he loved like a daughter, and one nephew, “Deno” Wray; one great-nephew, Kasetyn Ceyrolles, cousin, Matthew Morton of Mt. Pleasant, TN; best friends, Tommy Shaffer of Mt. Pleasant, Eddie Ceyrolles of Mt. Pleasant, TN, and Billy Joe Norman of Hohenwald, TN, 2 great-nieces, Summer Titus of Mt. Pleasant and Autumn Titus of Mt. Pleasant, and 2 great-nephews, Dakota Titus and Dolton Titus.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Ceyrolles, Chris Payne, Tommy Shaffer, Matthew Morton, Dylan Jones, Deno Wray and Trey Morton.

Services will be on Thursday March 24, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, TN with Bro. Jason Love officiating. Burial will follow at Shaffer’s Cemetery in Lawrence County. Family will visit with friends on Wednesday March 23, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
