Mr. Tildon Mack Workman, 74, resident of the Sandy Hook Community, died Friday, April 19, 2002, in Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Workman will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Joe Macer and Rev. Henry Mobley officiating. Burial will follow in the Blowing Springs Cemetery.
He was a native of Maury County, the son of the late Andrew Izar and Maggie Ann Woods Workman. He was the husband of Louise Smith Workman of Sandy Hook. He was retired from McGaw Construction Company in Mt. Pleasant and had been a heavy equipment operator for Boshers Construction Company. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Judy Workman and Shelia Howell, both of Columbia; six sons, Elmer Nancy Workman and Jimmy Connie Workman, both of Summertown; Roger Pam Workman and Ronald ?Rusty? Workman, both of Columbia; Tildon ?Lee? Patricia Workman of Mt. Pleasant and Jeremy Workman of Tiptonville, TN; six sisters, Oklean Hanvy, Sarah Sonny White, Barbara Runions and Laura Nichols, all of Mt. Pleasant; Janie Dave Kerr of Lawrenceburg and Janet Jerry Lanier of Summertown. 25 Grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Lena Pearl Scott, Elizabeth Workman, Ophelia Ragsdale and Tonie Bowen; one brother, Robert ?Bobby? Workman and one son, Danny Ray Workman.
Pallbearers will be Gary Hanvy, Boyd Morton, Antione Richardson, Lawrence Hull, Bob Smith, Lawrence Hull, Jr., Buddy Yarbrough, Robin Workman and Billy Workman. Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Arnold and Ronnie Hanvy.
