Thomas E. Haynes

Mr. Thomas Earl ?Tom? Haynes, 44, formerly of Scribner Avenue in Columbia, died Tuesday, January 31, 2005 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he had made his home for the past 20 years.
Funeral services for Mr. Haynes will be conducted Friday, February 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with reverend Ezell Rose officiating. Burial will be in the Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of Billy and Betty Haley Haynes of Columbia. While attending Maury County schools, he was employed by Hatcher Lane Food Market and later was a Night Auditor for several motels in the Ft. Lauderdale area. He was a 1980 graduate of Columbia Central High School, a member of the Church of Christ, and was an avid gardner.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, David Haynes of Columbia, TN and Stephen Haynes of Lock Haven, PA; an aunt, Ruth Morrison of Columbia, TN; friend and companion, Jeff Pechnter of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Walter and Alberta Haley of Mt. Pleasant, TN; paternal grandparents, Ben and Bessie Haynes of the Water Valley Community.
Pallbearers will be Randy Dawson, Aubrey Fox, Ray Hood, Terry Burgess, Bobby Baker, David West, and Kevin Thompson.
