Thomas “Tommy” Francis Rotchford, age 54, passed away April 9, 2017, at his residence in Chapel Hill.
Tommy was born December 23, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Edward Rotchford and the late Rose O’Malley Rotchford, and he was married to Desiree Mendoza Rotchford for nearly 30 years. Tommy was always ready to help others, and ready to help anyone fix anything. He was considered a Jack of all trades, master of none. His family will always remember his laughter and humor, especially during his courageous twelve year cancer battle. Tommy never met a stranger, and his family recalled him having a two hour phone conversation with a wrong number. He was of the Catholic Faith.
A celebration of Tommy’s life will be conducted in the Blevins Hall of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee, Friday, April 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will be John Rotchford and Lee Saegar.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Desiree Rotchford of Chapel Hill; children, Matthew Thomas (Chelse) Rotchford, Amanda Kristen (Jacob) Whaley; grandchildren, Dean Wallace, Oliver Rotchford, Lorelei Whaley, and Layla Whaley; siblings, Edward Rotchford, John (Kim) Rotchford, Billy Rotchford, and Elizabeth Rotchford; several nieces and nephews; and people very special to their heart, Savannah, Mark, Vicky, and Devin.
