Thomas "Tom" Carpenter

January 11, 1961 — October 20, 2004

Mr. Thomas ?Tom? Edward Carpenter, 43, a resident of West Milford, New Jersey and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died October 20, 2004 at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains New Jersey.

Funeral services for Mr. Carpenter will be conducted Sunday, October 24, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Phillip Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. .

The Maury County native was the son of Paul and Barbara Langley Carpenter of Mt. Pleasant and the husband of Latosca Stewart Carpenter of West Milford, New Jersey. Mr. Carpenter received his master?s degree in business from the University of Texas and worked for K-Mart in Troy Michigan in charge of warehousing. He previously played drums in the Terrapin Branch Band and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by a brother, John Paul Barbara J. Carpenter of Franklin, TN; two nephews, Joseph Langley Carpenter and John Taylor Carpenter both of Franklin, TN.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Benefield, David Carpenter, David Chenualt, James English, Chris Schaker, Johnny Buchanan and Philip Massey.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Benderman, Webb Williams, Shaw Daniels, Alan Sims, Bob Wren, Brent Bassham, Kevin Bassham, Alan Farmer and Justin Noakes.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 202 South Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474.
