Thomas A. Bigwood

Mr. Thomas A. "Tom' Bigwood, age 41, a resident of N. James Campbell Blvd., passed away on Wednesday, April 30, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Bigwood will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Dwight Boswell and Rev. Walter Shell officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Worcester, Mass., native was the son of the late Lorraine Bigwood Mason. He was the husband of Lisa Leard Bigwood who survives. Mr. Bigwood worked as a glazer with Commercial Glass and Mirror. He loved fishing and was a great football lover. Mr. Bigwood was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters: Constance and Arianna Bigwood, both of Columbia; one granddaughter: Tegan Malott; sisters: Melissa Anderson of Texas and Shirley Durso of Mass.; brothers: Don Genesis and Bruce Durso, both of Mass., and Peter Mason of Columbia. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces in Mass. Mr. Bigwood was preceded in death by one brother: Roman Bigwood.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
