Terry Lynn Potts

Terry Lynn Potts, age 58, passed away, Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at his home in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Terry was born in Columbia, Tennessee January 8, 1957 to RL Potts and the late Esther Ragsdale Potts.

Terry graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from the University of Tennessee and enjoyed a long career with the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency; a job that he enjoyed through his intense love for wildlife, people, and the outdoors. He was a passionate follower of Christ and a proud member of his home church, Mill Springs Baptist Church in Jefferson City, TN. He served in numerous missionary efforts, both local and international. His unwavering faith inspired his writing of thousands of poems and psalms that he used to share his faith. Terry is best remembered for his kindness, gentleness, and compassion, and for his self-proclaimed "corny” sense of humor. He will be sorely missed as he enters the Kingdom.

Terry is survived by his children: Laura Potts of Knoxville, TN, Daniel Potts, of Brooklyn, NY, and Chris (Courtney) Potts, of Knoxville, TN; father: RL Potts of Santa Fe, TN, and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Services will immediately follow visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
