Terry Leroy Casserilla

Mr. Terry Leroy Casserilla, age 72, resident of Mimosa Drive in Columbia, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Life Care Center of Columbia.
Born October 11, 1938 in Melrose Park, Illinois, he was the son of the late Leroy Louis and Emily Amelia Keller Casserilla. Terry was the husband of Cynthia Kay Casserilla of Columbia. He was retired from the Electro-Motive division of General Motors in LaGrange, Illinois after 28 ½ years of employment. In 1997, Terry and Cynthia moved to Lewisburg to be near his son and to enjoy the golden years of his retirement. He was a member of the Berean Baptist Church where he taught sunday school. An accomplished athlete in high school, Terry's greatest enjoyment was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was known as "PA".
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Danny Rene Casserilla of Nashville; three daughters, Sheree L. Bonino of Willis, Texas, Terri Lea Steve McDowell of Largo, Florida and Toni Ann Lee Smith of Lynnville; brother, Randy Casserilla of Joliet, Illinois; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, Larry Casserilla and one great-granddaughter, Mariah Casserilla.
Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the Casserilla Family with the arrangements.
