Tara Jeane Nowlan, 46, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2013 at her home in Columbia, Tennessee.
Tara was born November 26, 1966, in Long Island, New York, daughter of George and Barbara Nowlan. Tara attended Montessori School, Duncan Wood Elementary, Murrell, and Harris Hilltop. Tara lived in Kentucky for a number of years, as well as Cloverbottom Developmental Center. Since 1994, Tara has lived in Centerville and in Columbia where she was supported by her friends at Impact Centers and the Arc of Davidson County. She had a great love for Elvis Presley and enjoyed listening to many Country Music stars and their music.
She is survived by her mother: Barbara Nowlan of Nashville;
sister, Kim Nowlan and her fiancé, Scott; brother, Galvin Nowlan of Nashville; brother, Kevin and sister-in law, Tricia Nowlan of Clearwater Florida; 3 nephews; and many special friends including Beth Kiedrowski, Sunshine Williams, Janelle Weaver, Ann Adams and her roommate of many years, Teresa. She is preceded in death by her father George Nowlan.
A memorial will be held for Tara on Tuesday July 16, 2013 at
11 am at Impact Centers, Inc. 1209 Tradewinds Drive, Columbia, Tennessee.
