Sylvia Elaine Pope

Sylvia Elaine Pope, age 76, went to her heavenly home on October 23, 2022, in Columbia, Tennessee at Life Care Center.
Elaine was born on October 6, 1946, to the late William Buford Mullins Sr., and Lillian Douglas Nice Mullins in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Elaine grew up in the Tennessee Orphans Home in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Elaine loved to shop and spend money as her favorite hobby. She was also a dedicated member to Southgate Church of Christ in Columbia, Tennessee. She loved her church family there and always felt welcome. Elaine was always laughing and had a smile on her face. Elaine loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by all.
Elaine is preceded in death by her parents: William Buford Mullins Sr., and Lynn Douglas Nice Mullins; and siblings: Mary Ruth Mullins and James Anthony Mullins.
Elaine is survived by her sister: Linda (Gene) Porter and brother: William “Billy” (Ruth) Mullins, Jr.; nephews: DeWayne (Gail) Porter, James “Jimmy” (Hannah) Mullins, and Michael Mullins; nieces: Cynthia (Scott) Porter Jett, Denise Mullins Smith, and Deborah Mullins; sister in law: Betty Andrews; and aunt: Violet Palecki.
Elaine’s nephews will be serving as pallbearers alongside Logan Bryant and Brycton Mosely.
A visitation for Elaine will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A service for Elaine will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 11:00 AM with a visitation an hour prior to the service with John Thomas and Joe Macer officiating. Elaine will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
