Sylvia Bela, age 65, passed on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 14, 1956, to Felix and Martha DelaRosa in Lubbock, Texas. She married Rudy Bela and together had two beautiful daughters. They made Lubbock their home where she retired from Lubbock ISD until they moved to Columbia, Tennessee, to be closer to their children.
She was a Godly woman who held her faith in God in the highest regard. She and her husband were ministers of freedom and restoration. She was a woman of prayer and valued her many friendships within her community.
She was a beautiful wife, wonderful mother, and friend to every person she met. Her newest role as a grandmother brought her so much joy; it radiated out of her when she was with her sweet boy. Her language of love was expressed through her incredible cooking and playful banter. She adored her family, and cherished the times they all gathered in her home. Her fun-loving nature, laughter, and warm presence would light up a room and will be deeply missed.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents, Felix, Sr. and Martha DelaRosa.
Her memory will live on through her husband: Rudy Bela; daughters: Brandi (Brady) Grimsley and Stephanie Bela; her one grandchild: Levi; sisters: Delia (Tony) Richardson and Mary (Johnny) Veanueva; brother: Felix (Norma) DelaRosa, Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
A visitation will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 10:00 AM.
