Sylvia Ann Garcia Barnes, 53, resident of Florida Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, January 4 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Born August 16, 1957 in Germany, she was the daughter of Rene Bohm Christman of Hobbs, NM and the late Andrew Garcia.
Sylvia was employed in domestic home services. She was an avid animal lover, did knitting and enjoyed taking care of her fiancé, Dan Goodman.
In addition to her mother and fiancée, she is survived by her step-father: Chris Christman of Hobbs, NM; several nieces and nephews.
