Susie May Mosley

Susie May Mosley, age 94, of Columbia, TN, passed away on December 31, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Susie was born on January 15, 1923 in Maury County, Tennessee to the late Pete and Susie Collins. When she was young she worked tobacco fields with her husband and Daddy. She was married to the late Herbert Edward Mosley for sixty five years. Susie was a good mother and a great mother in law. She never met a stranger and loved flowers. She loved to watch wrestling and was a wonderful grandmother.

Susie is survived by her Children: Dorothy (Terry) Pierce, Donald (Joyce) Mosley, Herbert (Brenda) Mosley Jr. and Peggy Pierce; Grandchildren: Amy (Tim) Vaughn, Tootie (Monica) Mosley, Bobby (Michelle) Hickman, Debra Hickman, Misty Hickman, Brandy Hickman, Lisa (J. D.) Pierce, Terry Pierce, Kaleb M. Mosley, Brett Mosley and Matthew (Cassie) Mosley; Sister: Elizabeth Powers of Athens, Alabama and Brother: Pete Collins of Culleoka, TN. She is also survived by Jonathan “PeeWee” (Ashleigh) Pierce, special grandson; caretaker as well as her best friend, Penny; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her Husband, Susie was preceded in death by her Son: Russell D. Mosley; Great Grandson: Billy Bob Hickman; Brothers: Jack and Buddy Collins and Sisters: Nettie Bolton, Annie May Brown and Estelle “Toad” Bolton.

The family will visit with friends at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, TN on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 9:00am until 12:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 12:00pm also at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Randy Kersey is officiating.

Pallbearers include: Bobby Ashworth, Donald Collins, Stephen Collins, Randall Collins, Andy Johnson, Bud Bolton, Austin Hickman, Jackie Collins and Matthew Mosley.
