Sue Sutton English

Mrs. Sue Sutton English, 68, a resident of the Enterprise Community, passed away Thursday, February 26 at St Thomas Alive Hospice.
Funeral services for Mrs. English will be conducted Sunday, March 1, at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Russ Adcox and Reverend Eugene Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. and Sunday from 12:00 until service time.
The Mt Pleasant native was the daughter of the late Elbert Alexander Sutton and Nonie McClure Sutton. Sue married the late William P. English in 1959 and together they had five children. She retired from the City of Mt. Pleasant in 2007. Sue enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and supporting their many activities. She was a member of Maury Hills Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children: Beth Tomm Beaudry of Columbia, Kae Andy McComiskey of Franklin, Penny Rodney Cooper and Tommy Stacey English both of Mt. Pleasant and Cissy Marty Adkison of Santa Fe; Grandchildren: Sydney English of Columbia, Sean McComiskey, Jillian McComiskey and Will McComiskey all of Franklin, Quincy English, Sebastian English, Griffin Cooper, Elizabeth English and Ryan English all of Mt. Pleasant, Jared Adkison, Blake Adkison and Elise Adkison all of Santa Fe; step-grandchildren: Keely Doug Culver and Gavin Beaudry of AZ, Rodney Cooper, Jr. and Page Cooper both of Mt. Pleasant; step-great-grandchild: Ian Beaudry of AZ; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Hughes and a cousin, Linda Abner.
Pallbearers will be Sean McComiskey, Ryan English, Sebastian English, Kevin Hughes, Alex Hughes and Butch Hughes.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Mt. Pleasant Police Department.
