Sue H. Brooks

Mrs. Sue Hale "Mama Sue" Brooks, age 95, a resident of Nashville, passed away on Thursday, October 30, at her residence.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at the Corinth Church Cemetery in Stone Mountain, GA, with Rev. Minor Gouge officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The Stone Mountain, GA, native was the daughter of the late Sterling Hale and Stevie Pounds Hale. She was the wife of the late James E. Brooks who preceded her in death in 1973. Mama Sue was retired as a Nurse's Aid at Georgia Baptist Hospital and was a member for many years of the Martha Brown United Methodist Church in Atlanta, GA.
Survivors include special nieces: Sandra B. Hilton of Nashville and Lindy and Josie Wyant of Columbia; her grandchildren: Cindy S. Baldwin of Nashville and Anthony Baldwin of Atlanta, GA; great-grandchildren: Anthony Baldwin, Jr. and Elana Baldwin of Atlanta along with several other nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by a daughter: Cynthia Baldwin.
Memorial donations may be made to the Martha Brown United Methodist Church, 468 Moreland Ave., SE, Atlanta, GA 30316.
