Sue Dye Martin

Mrs. Murlene Sue Dye Martin, 68, a former long-time resident of Mt. Pleasant and Goode Drive in Columbia, died Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martin will be conducted Monday, November 29, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

The Madison , Tennessee native was the daughter of late Ewell Garfield and Myrtle Novelene Wilkins Dye. Mrs. Dye was a graduate of Summertown High School and a member of the Pleasants Heights Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and had great love for her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Vickie Wendell Pullen of Columbia, TN; two sons, Kenneth W. Martin of Antioch, TN and Michael D. Kathy Martin of Minor Hill, TN; two sisters, Janice Bill Duke of Hendersonville, TN and Linda David Boyd of Mt. Pleasant, TN; one brother, Bobby Mary Lou Dye of Culleoka, TN; grandchildren, Anita Hagler of Smyrna, TN, Erin Whitwell , Hannah Pullen, Lauren Pullen and Justin Pullen all of Columbia, TN, Josh Malone and Jacob Martin both of Minor Hill, TN; great-grandchildren, Courtney Hagler and Camron Hagler of Smyrna, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mark Dye, Jeffrey Pogue, Patrick Pogue, Mike Mikula, Dean Tays, Cecil Conner, Tim Love, Bobby Boyd, and Terry Boyd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Cummins Couch, Dr. Janice Vinson, Dr. J. B. Miller, and Dr. Amit Choksi.

Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
