Steven David Wetzel, 61, a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA., passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.
Mr. Wetzel was born October 15, 1949 in New Orleans, LA, son of the late Cyril and Helena Schmidt Wetzel. He was a specialist in computer engineering.
Beloved father of Jeffrey Wetzel, Jason Wetzel and Wendy W. Travis Guidry; their mother: Marsha Blanchard Wetzel; loving grandfather to Dominique Wetzel, Devin McKenzie and Micah Guidry; brother of Cyril "Butch" Wetzel, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Cyril and Helena Schmidt Wetzel; a daughter-in-law: Nicole Wetzel.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11:00 am in the chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington.
Visitation will be 9:00 to 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home.
