Steve R. Davis

Mr. Steve R. Davis, age 49, a resident of Enterprise Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, June 16, at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be conducted Wednesday June 20 at 11:00 Am at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Dickie Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Blowing Springs Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 11:00 to 2:00 and 5:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home.

Born in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Virgil ?Hank? and Dora Corum Davis. He was a self employed contractor, a veteran of the US Army and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by daughters, Tawnya Lynn Lance Guldi of Warren, MI and Renee Bart Anderson of Columbia; his life-long partner, Liz Pruitt of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughters, Dakota Lynn Guldi and Cheyenne Claire Guldi of Warren, MI; brother, Henry Allen ?Hank? Marye Davis of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Doris Jean Russell Brooks of Lawrenceburg, Susan Yvon Davis of Columbia, Linda Marie Buzz Davis of Columbia, Mary Elizabeth Van Workman of Leoma and Sandra Kay Terry Kelley of Mt. Pleasant; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lee Davis and a nephew, Douglas Wayne White.

Pallbearers will be his nephews: Shawn Brooks, Henry ?Hank? Davis, Brian Davis, Daniel Davis, Jeffery Davis, Raymond Davis, Robert Workman, Randall Workman, Zachary Workman, Caleb Workman, Joshua Kelley and Russell Brooks, III. Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces: Beth Brooks, Wendy Workman, Darcy Howell, Nina White, Amanda White, Jessica White, Tabitha Kelley, Peggy Lightner, Aggie Lightner and Katie Lightner.
