Sidney Lee Howell, better known as “Frog” of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on January 31, 2020. Frog was only 50 years old.
Frog was born June 13, 1969, in his home town of Mt. Pleasant, TN. He was the son of Sidney William Howell, who survives him and the late Linda Bolton Howell, who passed just earlier this year, as well as his mother in law, Ina Lovell.
Frog loved being in the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time in nature. He loved trips to the river and driving his dump truck. Also, he loved riding in his boat and on the jet skis. He was passionate about working hard on projects in his shop. Above all, his favorite thing to do was to being surrounded by his family; he loved his family and would do anything for them.
He is survived by his wife of over 29 years: Sherry Howell, who he loved dearly; his son, Brandon Lee (Brittany) Howell; daughter: MaKayla Howell. His three grandchildren, Jolee was his ladybug, Jacelyn was his cricket and Jacob was his little bear, along with our dog, Oreo, that he loved very much. He is also survived by his sister, Berrye (Robert) Jones, his nieces Cheyenne and Hailey Jones, and his great nephew, Callaway Sims. He had a very special lifelong friend of 20 plus years named Bryce Cosby.
The family will celebrate his life in service on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant beginning at 11:00. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 3, 2020, from 3-8 pm. Brother William Owens will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Freedom Cemetery. The Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of McCanless trucking, and old employees of Floyd & Floyd contacting.
Pallbearers for Mr. Howell will be Jimmy Hyatt, Bryce Cosby, Rodney Howell, Anthony Howell, Jeremy Finley and Ryan McCanless.
