Sibyl Herd Phillips

Mrs. Sibyl Katherine Herd Phillips, 84, a resident of South High Street in Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, November 3, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Phillips will be conducted Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend R.J. Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Williamsport Baptist Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Union, Mississippi native was the daughter of the late Grady and Codie Terrell Herd. She was the wife of Otis L. Phillips of Mt. Pleasant. She was a homemaker and long-time resident of Middletown, Indiana. She was a member of the White Union United Methodist Church in Honey Creek, Indiana.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Katherine ?Kathy? Poffenbarger of Anderson, IN and Denise Carl Randolph of Mooreland, IN; two sons, Larry Mina Phillips of Anderson, IN and Joey Pam Phillips of Mt. Pleasant, TN; nine grandchildren, David Phillips, Ben Phillips, Ted Phillips, Matt Phillips, Michael Poffenbarger, Andrea Randolph, Mina Phillips, Kelli Phillips, and Derek Phillips; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Blackwell of Union, MS, Billie Jim LoCicero of Columbia, SC, and Kay Lloyd of Pearl, MS. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nina Herd.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends of the family.
