Shirley Jean Brooks

Mrs. Shirley Jean Brooks, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, January 15 at Maury Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brooks will be conducted Friday January 18, at 1:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Pastors Mark and Wanda Sartain officiating. Burial will follow in the Brady Cemetery in Santa Fe.
The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Shirley, a resident of East 10th Street, was the daughter of the late Horace B. and Helen Diamond and the wife of J w "Shorty" Brooks. Shirley and her husband J W were involved in the CMA Christian Motor Cycle Association. She was a member of God's Refuge Church of Columbia and worked for many years as a caregiver.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Terry R. Craig of Columbia, TN; a sister, Kathy Larry Sexaur of Canton, OH; two sisters-in-law, Dolly Beard Roger Tinsley of Columbia, TN and Peggy Joe Costal of Santa Fe, TN; four nieces, a nephew, 5 grand nieces and 5 grand nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joe Costal III, John Carter, Anthony Coker, Josh Schultz, Patrick Andrews and Mike Olsen. Honorary pallbearers will be members of God's Refuge Church.
