Mrs. Shirley A. Bearden Gore, 59, a resident of Rachel Lane in Summertown, died Monday, May 13, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gore will be conducted Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend Patrick Connor officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Marshall county native was the daughter of the late Charles Bearden and Ola Vanzant Bearden Byrd. She was the widow of Ralph Gore who died in 1983. She was a homemaker and communicant of St. Catherine Catholic Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Christina S. Keith Cummins of Mt. Pleasant; a son, James Gore of Nashville; 2 grandchildren, Karissa Odom and Michael Odom of Mt. Pleasant; 6 sisters, Louise Faircloth of North Carolina, Betty Bearden Gibson and Mary Jorgensen of Columbia, Woody Littrell of Five Points, Linda Honn and Charlene Bearden of Lawrenceburg; 3 brothers, William Bearden and Lindsey Bearden of Summertown and Jimmy Bearden of Lawrenceburg; She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Robinson.
Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Hanesh H. Khatri, Dr. Mark Shelton, Dr. J. Cummins Couch, III , Dr. J. Fredrick Wade, and Dr. William A. Robinson, III.
