Shirlene Malugin Cross

April 30, 1943 — February 9, 2007

Mrs. Shirlene M. Cross, age 63, a resident of Beechview Drive in Clifton, passed away on Friday, Feb. 9, at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cross will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Darryl Martin officiating. Entombment will follow in the Polk Memorial Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends on Sunday and Monday from 4:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Born in Cross Bridges, she was the daughter of the late James P. and Drucilla Elizabeth Hicks Malugin and the wife of David Cross. She was a homemaker.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Rhonda Randy Benderman of Summertown; sons, Jeff Penny Stewart of Culleoka and Chris Janna Stewart of Columbia; two step-daughters, Mary Moore Cross of Wyandotte, MI and Lettie Ann Cross of Southgate, MI; a step-son, David D. Cross Jr. of Southgate, MI; grandchildren, Nikki Benny Aviles, Deak Andrea Waldrum, Joshua Waldrum, Dylan Stewart and Chase Stewart, all of Columbia, Ronnie Fogg, Sonny Jamie Fogg and Crystal David May, all of Culleoka; special friend, Tabatha Brooks of Columbia; great grandchildren, Ben, Gabby and Maddy Aviles, Layne Waldrum, Megan May, Linda, Miranda and Jazzabell Fogg; brothers, James Brenda Malugin of Cross Bridges, Robert Malugin, Lester Pam Malugin, Roger Floye Malugin and Kenny Malugin, all of Columbia; sisters, Sue Hopper of Orlando, FL, Margaret Ann George Davis of Columbia and Brenda Benny Morton of Hampshire. She was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Mae Martin.

Pallbearers will be Deak Waldrum, Joshua Waldrum, Benny Aviles, Kyle Ingram, Ethan Ingram and David May. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Stewart, Chase Stewart, Ben Aviles and Layne Waldrum.
