Sharon Kaye Morgan, age 64 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away at her residence Thursday, July 26, 2012.
Sharon was born January 9, 1948 to the late Margaret and Frank Hanvy, Sr. in Maury County. She was married to the late Jerry Morgan, who passed away in 2009. Her caring soul made her perfect for nursing and mending people that needed her help. Her hobbies included reading, collecting books, and rocks. Her family shared that she would read and visit with them at the same time. They also shared, "She was the sweetest woman, if you needed something and she didn't have it she would make sure she got it for you."
The family invites friends into the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 4-8:00 P.M. Funeral services for Sharon will be conducted Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Dickie Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Malin, Michael Malin, Scooter Shrader, Jeremy Marshall, Jacob Hyatt, and Jerry Burkes. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Cummins, Shane Bush, Employees of the Reliable Pest Control, and her brothers and sisters in the Church of Christ Faith.
Survivors include her children: Melissa Shane Bush of Lincoln, Nebraska, Stacy Cummins of Murfreesboro, and Jason Angela Cummins of Hampshire; grandchildren: Robert Malin of Nebraska, Michael Malin of Nebraska, and Shawn Lituanas of Hampshire; great grandchildren: Bryce Malin and Ahriauna Malin both of Nebraska; sister: Betty Lehn Salisbury of North Carolina; brothers: Frank Jane Hanvy, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Terry Paula Hanvy of Mt. Pleasant, Kerry Beth Hanvy of North Carolina, Nathan Hanvy of Hohenwald, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Sharon is also survived by her step-children, Vincent Morgan, Jeremy Morgan and Monica Morgan and step-grandchildren, John Michael and Jordan Morgan. She is preceded in her passing by her parents, the father of her children, Bobby Cummins, sister Linda Blair, her brother Grady Hanvy, and her nephew Alfred Hanvy.
