Sharon Dillingham, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Columbia, Tennessee, on May 18, 2024. She was born on June 24, 1951, in Centerville, Tennessee, to the late Hobart and Katie Gossett.
Sharon was a woman of many passions. She found immense joy in reading and was rarely seen without a book in hand. Her mind was sharp, always ready for the next crossword puzzle. Sharon was also an ardent fan of Elvis Presley, often filling her home with his timeless music. Her love for Hallmark movies was well-known, especially her fondness for the Christmas in July specials on the Hallmark Channel.
A true animal lover, Sharon cherished her furbaby, Penny, who brought her countless moments of happiness and companionship. She was also a gifted cook, renowned among family and friends for her splendid Thanksgiving dinners, which were a testament to her culinary skills and her love for bringing people together.
Above all, Sharon loved her family with a boundless heart. She is survived by her devoted children, John (Denise) and Elaine Dillingham, and her treasured grandchildren: Will and Isaac. Her family was her pride and joy, and she spent her life nurturing and caring for them, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.
Sharon's presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful life she led and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and generosity.
