Shaffin John Crawford, 14, of Harlan Road in Columbia, died Friday, February 7, 2003 at his residence.
Funeral services for Shaffin Crawford will be conducted Monday, February 10, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with Reverend Thomas S. Wilson officiating. A private family burial will be in St. John's Episcopal Churchyard. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Williams Columbia Funeral Home and Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 in the church parrish hall.
Born in Elgin, Illinois, Shaffin was the son of Richard Sr. and Barbara Hoffmann Crawford. He was a student at E.A. Cox Middle School, a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, and Episcopal Youth Group. He was an honorary City of Columbia Policeman.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by four brothers; Harold Mary Crawford of Old Monroe, Missouri, Richard Crawford Jr., Robert Crawford and Steven Crawford all of Columbia; six sisters; Kimberly Randy Harvel of Lone Oak, Arkansas, Angela Jeffrey Thomas of Joliet, Illinois, Valerie Dan Knight of Lafarge, Wisconsin, Victoria Crawford, Erica Crawford and Leticia Crawford all of Columbia; Maternal grandparents; Raymond and Anne Krolak of Aurora, IL, Paternal grandmother Betty Crawford of Big Sandy, TN, God-mother, Debbie Quigley of Aurora, IL, God-father Tom Lejesik of Nashville, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be members of the City of Columbia Police Department.
