Retired Sgt. William Roy Kelley, age 66, a resident of Converse, LA, passed away on Thursday, March 15, at Christas Schumport Hospital in Shreveport, LA.
Funeral services for Sgt. Kelley will be conducted Sunday, March 18 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA. Burial will follow in the Deberry Cemetery, Deberry, TX with full military honors.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 2:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of local arrangements.
The Maury Co. native was the son of Beatrice Grimes Boshers and the late WS Kelley and husband of Martha Kelley. He was a retired sergeant with the US Army.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Lori Tony Nichols of Shreveport; sons, Bill Diane Kelley, Mike Debbie Kelley, Donnie Kay Kelley and Johnny Kelley, all of Deberry, TX; 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; five brothers, Stanley Norma Kelley, Eddie Shirley Kelley and James Barbara Kelley, all of Columbia, Harold ?Buddy? Kelley of Culleoka and Larry Kelley of Hohenwald; half-sister, Evelyn Raines of Centerville; half-brothers, Joe Deana Kelley and Greg Kelley, both of Culleoka; step-father, Wade Boshers. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
