Mr. Seth Bumpas Gilmore, 66, retired from Rhodia and a resident of South Cross Bridges Road near Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Gilmore will be conducted Friday, April 29, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Joe Macer and Barry Farris officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Seth Bumpas, Sr. and Georgia Mae Curry Gilmore. He was a retired maintenance mechanic for Rhodia in which he had 40 years of service. He was a member of the South Point Church of Christ and an avid hunter and fisherman. The greatest joy of Seth?s life was surrounding himself with his two grandsons.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Farris Gilmore of Mt. Pleasant, TN; his two grandsons, David Scott Morrow and Andrew Caleb Morrow both of Hampshire, TN; a sister, Betty A. Coss of Franklin, TN; a niece, Debbie Steve Antes of Franklin, TN; a nephew, Christopher Coss of La Vergne, TN; a son-in-law, David T. Morrow of Franklin, TN; a special family friend, Rebecca Weaver. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ellen Morrow and a son, Gregory Seth Gilmore.
Pallbearers will be W.M. Morrow, Larry Embler, A.D. Gilmore, Ralph Gilmore, Wilburn Haywood, Christopher Coss, Steve Antes, David Morrow, Danny Staggs, and Earl Cooper.
