Scott Hunter, age 45, resident of First Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday, June 17, at Maury Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Scott was born February 18, 1966 in Ft. Worth, TX, the son of Sharon Nichols McCarley of Mt. Pleasant and the late William Anson Hunter. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. Scott worked in the fast food industry as a grill cook and had been a machine operator at the Mt. Pleasant Quilt factory. He was a member of the Locust Street Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant.
In addition to his mother, Scott is survived by his brothers, Nick Hunter of Mt. Pleasant and Chris Shannon McCarley of Ethridge; his sister, Jennifer Carey Atkinson of Birmingham; his grandmother, Audrey Nichols of Mt. Pleasant; one nephew, Riley Atkinson of Birmingham and an aunt, Jan Bobby England of Mt. Pleasant.
Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant is assisting the family with arrangements.
