Sara Elizabeth Flynt Massey

Mrs. Sara Elizabeth Flynt Massey, 71, a resident of the New Lawrenceburg Highway in Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at Columbia Health Care.
Funeral services for Mrs. Massey will be conducted Thursday, November 14, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Kent Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit wit friends Wednesday from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James Roy Flynt, Sr. and Mattie Elsie Goodwin Flynt Kelley. She was also preceded in death by her step father, Edd Carless Kelley. She was the widow of Neal High Massey who died in 1977. She was a retired cashier for the Mt. Pleasant Power Company and a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant.
She is survived by two sisters, Mary Ruth Kelley Grooms of Columbia and Linda Sue Larry Kelley Warren of Lynnville; three brothers, Carl Edward Jean Kelley of Williamsport, James Donald Kelley of Hampshire, and Tommy Joe Kelley of Columbia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Faye Kelley Ingrum; a brother, James Roy Flynt, Jr.
Pallbearers will be her nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be nurses and staff of NHC Columbia Health Care.
