Sara Louise Trogdlen passed away on August 23, at the age of 98 in Columbia, Tennessee.
Sara was born on May 10, 1921, in Anderson, Indiana to the late Thomas and Mary Foley. After high school, Sara took an active role in bookkeeping for different companies. In her spare time, she loved to crochet and read. Early in life she found and married Charles William Trogdlen they made their home and life together until 1986 when Charles passed. Their grandchildren are what she cherished most in life, spoiling, and spending time with them. Sara was of the Episcopal faith and served on the Altar Guild. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
The family will celebrate Sara’s life in a private celebration at a later date.
Sara is survived by her daughter Patti (Paul) Kemp of Columbia; two grandchildren: Michelle (Kent) French of Orange County, CA and Adam Trogdlen of Indianapolis, IN; two step-grandchildren: Megan (Trey) Hader of Blue Springs, MO and Eric Kemp of Edmond, OK; great-grandchild: Everly French; Step-great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Micah, Marley and Ariana Kemp. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son Michael Trogdlen, her daughter-in-law, Janis Trogdlen and her brother, Tom Foley.
