Sandra Josephine Davis

Sandra Josephine Davis, age 83, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, March 6, at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab.

Josie was born February 15, 1934 in Enterprise, TN, the daughter of the late Maynard Lovell and Louise Prentice Lovell. In 1956, she married Alfred Ray Davis and they enjoyed 48 years together until his passing in 2004. Josie was a babysitter and of the Methodist Faith. She was a great mother, Mawmaw and friend. Josie was a wonderful cook and made the best beans, cornbread, fried potatoes and slaw. She dearly loved her several pets.

Survivors include her children, Michael Ray Davis of Mt. Pleasant, Sandra Kay (Steve) Dulworth of Dickson and John Travis (Trina) Davis of Columbia; grandchildren, Holly (Travis) Adams of Mt. Pleasant, Mindy (Omar) Gomez of Mt. Pleasant, Breanna Davis of Pulaski, Bethany Thomason of Mt. Pleasant, Adam (Haley) Dulworth of Dickson, Alicia (Brannon) Wilkerson of Dickson, Jennifer Adams of Columbia and Chris (Lisa) Mayo of Columbia; great-grandchildren, Kolby, Kinsey, Kylah, Kresley, Josie Beth, Adrianna, Elliott, Bennett, Keeton, Hannha, Haley, Aliea, Christen, Armani, Bryleigh and Braxten along with numerous nieces nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Jewel Thomas, Billy Wayne Lovell, Patsy Bell and Jackie Dugger.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Terry Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Lovell, Adam Dulworth, Bryant Workman, David Workman, Kolby Boshers and Timmy Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Morgan, Joshua Kelley, Travis Adams, Brannon Wilkerson, Omar Gomez and Steve Dulworth.
