Samuel "Dale" Odell Smith, Jr. age 56, resident of Winchester Avenue in Ashland, KY, passed away on Friday, March 26th at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Ashland, KY.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday, March 29th at 11:00 A.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rick Points officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 6:00 -8:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Born in Davidson County, TN, Dale was the son of Samuel Odell Smith, Sr. of Nashville and the late Evelyn Stella Foster Smith. He was dispatcher for Johnnie's Taxi Cab Service for many years.
In addition to his father, include one daughter: Christine Kelly of Michigan and one son; Tony Smith of Ashland, KY; one sister: Linda Donald Love of Williamsport and one brother: Bobby Ray Holly Smith of Columbia; two half sisters: Darlene Smith of Nashville and Mary Jane Sanders of Liles, TN; aunts and uncles: Josephine Ross Bates of Nashville, Bliss Pat Foster of Atlanta, GA, John Foster and Earl Foster of Nashville, Betty Foster of Shreveport, LA. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Connie Foster and Mr, & Mrs. Sam Smith, several uncles, Edward Foster, Buster Foster, Glenn Foster, William Smith, Gordon Smith, Alfred Smith and Albert Smith; one aunt, Hazel Potts.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
