Samuel Clayton Lynch

Mr. Samuel C. Lynch, 70, died Saturday, May 31, 2003 at his residence on Goodloe St. in Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services for Mr. Lynch will be conducted Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Edd Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Lewis County native was the son of the late John A. and Eloise Brown Lynch and the widow of Mitzi Claire Whitwell Lynch. Mr. Lynch was a graduate of Columbia Military Academy and Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in chemical engineering. He retired from Thomas Food Market in Mt. Pleasant and was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Lynch loved to travel and was his happiest driving around the country in his yellow bug.
Mr. Lynch is survived by two daughters, Maria Jerry Eatman Lynch of Raleigh, N.C. and Martha Ellen Lynch of Kingston Springs, TN; one grandson, Michael J. Andrea Hennessee of Franklin, TN; a great-granddaughter, Taylor J. Hennessee of Franklin, TN; a brother, Dr. John B. Mary Joyce Lynch of Nashville, TN and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Lynch is preceded in death by a very special friend, Nell Jones.
Pallbearers will be Michael J. Hennessee, John B. Lynch Jr., Ray Howell, Stan Rogers, Terry Carpenter and Leo Cole Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Bishop, David Bishop and Joe Bishop.
