A native and resident of Columbia, Sally Mae Bradley passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center on Monday, January 20, 2014.
Sally Mae was born in Giles County to the late David Colvett and Allie Dugger Colvett. Her work experience included Parks Belk and Weather Tamer, being a seamstress, and also working at Winning Moves. She married her husband Calvin Bradley who had passed away December 11, 2004. Sally was a member at Jackson Heights Church of Christ. She was such a loving and caring person and would do absolutely anything for anyone. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished every special moment spent with them. Miss Sally loved sewing so she really enjoyed making cheerleading uniforms and pageant dresses. Being a sports fan, baseball was a love of hers and the Atlanta Braves were her favorite team. She also loved cheering for the Tennessee Vols.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bradley will be Friday, January 24, at 11 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Andrew Roberts officiating. Burial will follow the service in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family welcomes friends for visitation on Thursday, January 23, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors for Mrs. Bradley include: her children, Peggy Bradley Lovell and Greg Bradley; three granddaughters: Shawna, Shelley and Sherra “Dee Dee” Lovell; five great-grandchildren: Chelsey Mills, Christopher Joyner, Aleigha Gaines, Abriana Lyles, and Kaden Alred. She was preceded in death by: three brothers: Lewis, Bruce, and Cordie Colvett; and four sisters: Rebecca Clifton, Betty Workman, Willie Maude Tomerlin, and Flossie McKissick.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Antonio Lyles, Rick Sanders, Ricky Lovell, Joe Colvett, John Colvett, David Workman, and Chris Colvett. Friends and members of Jackson Heights Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.
