Mrs. Sadie Hunt Stewart, age 63, a resident of Goodloe Street in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, October 17, at NHC/Columbia.
Funerals services for Mrs. Stewart will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Monday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born on February 23, 1946 in Maury Co., she was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Samaria Dunn Hunt. She was first married to the late Edgar Davis, then the late Mabry McNabb and finally to the late George Stewart. She had been a self employed beauty operator, seamstress, worked at several restaurants in Maury Co. and worked at Polk Memorial Gardens and Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in sales. Mrs. Stewart was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her children: Glenda Joe York of Summertown, Donna Ricky Warren and Eddie Lisa Davis, both of Mt. Pleasant and Audrey McNabb of Tampa, FL; grandchildren: Christina Reese, Jonathan Reese, Joe R. York, Ashley York, Cody Davis, Jacob Davis, Stephen Davis and Alexis Davis; 7 great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Elsie Marie Hunt; two nephews: Melvin Glenn Hunt and Marvin Clay Hunt. She was preceded in death by one brother: Melvin Calvin Hunt.
Pallbearers will be Joe York, Cody Davis, Jacob Davis, Stephen Davis, Tony Potts and Phillip Potts.
