Ryan Trent Kelley, passed away far too early at the age of 45 on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Ryan was born on June 20, 1972 to Sandra Robbins Kelley and the late Raymond T. Kelley in Easton, Maryland. He is a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School Class of ’90. Ryan founded, owned and operated Aim High Insulation here in Columbia. He loved to tend to his garden, to take care of other people, most of all he loved his family and his team. He was a mentor, helper, and a friend.
In addition to his mother, Ryan is survived by his wife, Cindy Kelley of Mount Pleasant. Crystal Gilchriest and their children; four daughters: Paige Braden (Josh Braden) of Pulaski, Katie (Travis) Yates of Mount Pleasant, Rose Kelley (Channing Crews) of Mount Pleasant, and Sara Belle Gilchriest of Mount Pleasant; two sons: Jake Benson (Melanie Pickens) of Adamsville, and Jacob Gilchriest of Mount Pleasant; Six granddaughters: Braylee, Jayci, Laura, and Gabby Braden, Graciee and Darciee Yates; 2 Grandsons, Bentlee Patrick and Lane Yates; Brother, Todd Kelley; Sisters, Kim Kelley and Christine Stanley; Nieces, Delaney and Jade Kelley; and Nephews, Jordan and Micah Kelley.
The family will visit with friends and family on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant and also on Tuesday from 11:00 until the service. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. Allen Armstrong will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be: Travis Yates, Josh Braden, David Moore, Larry “Weasel” Vandygriff, Brian Vandygriff, Wendall Vandygriff, Matt Cole, Jimmy Graham, and Jesse Carpenter.
The Aim High Insulation Team, Mount Pleasant High School class of 1990, Roger Kelly, Sam and Matt Roy will all serve as honorary pallbearers.
