Mrs. Ruth M. Legg Clements, 70, wife of Fred L. Clements, Sr. and a resident of Cross Valley Drive in Columbia, died Thursday, April 8, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Clements will be conducted Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
The South Port, Ohio native was the daughter of the late Edward and Lida Mills Legg. She was involved in the Tutoring Ministry and with In As Much Ministry at the Broadway Christian Church in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Tina Mark Gecowets of Columbia, TN; a son, Fred L. Nanal Clements, Jr. of Chicago, IL; a sister, Mary Wells of Ironton, OH; two brothers, Fred Legg of Columbus, OH and Don Legg of Rush, KY; four grandchildren, Joshua Gecowets, Melanie Gecowets, Keri Gecowets, and Daniel Gecowets all of Columbia, TN. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Federwisch and Mildred Bailey; a brother, Charles Legg.
Pallbearers will be Paul Boyd, Chris Gertig, Bill Schulz, Dale Ledbetter, and Noel Willems.
