Mr. Russel Allen Meece, 63, died Sunday, September 15, 2002 at his residence on the Hampshire Pike.
Private family services will be conducted at a later date.
Williams Columbia Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The Lewis County native was the son of Mildred Brown Reece of Hampshire and the late Scott Meece. He was a graduate of Lewis County High School and long-time resident of the Hampshire Community. He was a pipeline welder with the Pipeliners Union # 798. He was a member of the Elks Lodge # 686 in Columbia and served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a daughter, Michieal Perry of Columbia; a sister, Jean Meece of New Mexico; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Highland Rim 705 Trotwood Avenue Columbia, Tennessee 38401 or the Maury County Unit of the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 1212 Columbia, Tennessee 38402-1212.
