Mrs. Ruby Riley Murph, 80, died Sunday, May 19, 2002 at Hillview Health Care.
Funeral services for Mrs. Murph will be conducted Tuesday at 4:00p.m. in the chapel of Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will be in Cowpens, South Carolina.
The family will visit with friends from 3:00 until service time on Tuesday at Williams Columbia Funeral Home.
There will be a memorial service held at the Converse Baptist Church in Converse, South Carolina on Thursday, May 23 at 2:00p.m. with the Reverend Jack Weaver and Hershel Hill officiating.
She was a native of Lee County Virginia, the daughter of the late Robert Riley and the late Nettie Crowder Riley. She was the wife of the late Paul Edward Earl Murph. She was a homemaker and a member of the Converse Freewill Baptist Church in Converse, South Carolina.
Survivors include four daughters, Brenda Sue Murph of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Ricky Ann Laudeck of Culleoka, Tennessee, Kathy Lynn James Jones of Columbia, Tennessee and Ivy Elizabeth Shultz of Forest City, North Carolina; and a son Robert Lloyd Murph of Howenwald, Tennessee; two sisters Dorothy Nelson of Norfolk, Virginia, and Susan Roberson of Spartanburg, South Carolina; also two brothers Walter Riley and Raymond Riley both of Spartanburg, South Carolina. She is also survived by 3 granddaughters, 4 grandsons and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Leroy, Robert Jr. and Willard and James Riley; and two grandsons Thomas David Landeck and Robert Paul Brazil.
