Ruby Nell Curtis

Ruby Nell Curtis was born on February 8, 1936 in West Point, TN, the daughter of the late Boyd Bailey and Willie Andrews Bailey. On September 29, 1954, Ruby Nell married David B. Curtis and they enjoyed 57 years together. She was a homemaker who delighted in her family, especially being Mawmaw, and was one of the world's best cooks. Ruby Nell was a long time member of the Tabernacle in Summertown.

Along with her husband, Dave, Ruby Nell leaves behind her children, Debbie Hughes, Randy Ernestine Curtis, Mark Susie Curtis and Rodney Curtis, all of Summertown; two sisters, Guster Smith and Verlie Ernest Tucker, both of Summertown; one brother-in-law, Vernon Jacobi of Summertown; grandchildren, Amy Eric Murray of LaGrange, KY, Jeremy Kathy Curtis of Knoxville, Jerrett Curtis of Summertown, Meghann Elliott Endsley of Spring Hill, Corey Hughes of Nashville, Sarah Curtis of Columbia, Trevor Hughes of Summertown, Ben Curtis of Summertown, Baylee Curtis of Summertown and Gracee Curtis of Summertown; three great-grandchildren, Austin Murray, Carter Murray and Madeline Endsley. In addition to her parents, Ruby Nell was preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Jacobi and Lorene Cassel and two brothers, Floyd Bailey and Paul Bailey.

Mrs. Curtis passed away on Friday afternoon at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Ricky Pitts and Bro. Bill Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the Summertown Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 2:00 – 8:00 and on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
