Mrs. Ruby Marie Ragsdale McGaw, age 63, a resident of Dog Hollow Road in Lynnville, passed away on Friday, May 1, at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. McGaw will be conducted Monday, May 4, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Elmer Crosby in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will follow in the Gibsonville Cemetery
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 3:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born on July 14, 1945 in Maury County, Ruby was the daughter of the late Elton "Mac' and Uvela Sutton Ragsdale and the widow of the Johnny B. McGaw. She was a retired seamstress at Creekwood Sewing Factory. Ruby loved quilting, reading and spending time surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Debbie Phillip Vandiver, Pamela McGaw Irwin and Johnny B. Tina McGaw of Lynnville; grandchildren: Ashley Brandon Finley of Mt. Pleasant, Hannah Jeremy Irwin of Columbia, Justin Tiffany Vandiver, Josuha Harley Norman and Johnny B. McGaw, III of Lynnville; great-grandchildren: Makayla M. Finley and Weston J. Finley of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers: Jr. Ragsdale of Mt. Pleasant, William Frances Ragsdale of Columbia and Johnny Ragsdale of Mt. Pleasant; four sisters: Margaret Norman of Mt. Pleasant, Judy Wyatt of Memphis, TN. Minnie Ragsdale of Newport, TN and Barbara Holder of Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers will be Justin Vandiver, Tyler Crain, Jason Tomlin, Guy Ragsdale, Timmy Holder, Elton Ragsdale, Monroe Hobby and Ricky Hobby. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Adams, Mattie & Jerry Hobby, Shawn and Brandy the Home Heath Nurses, Nurses on the 1st West Floor at Maury Regional Medical Center, Dr. Pat McCarthy and Dr Mark Seago.
