Ruby Genell Lauritzen

Ruby Genell Lauritzen, 82, passed away on March 9, 2020 at NHC Healthcare Columbia, surrounded by her family.

Ruby was born on January 15, 1938, in St. Charles, MO to the late Nelly Mae Bacon and Frank Lauritzen. Ruby worked at Bellsouth early in her career as a phone operator. Later she would spend the majority of her career as a Nurse's Assistant in the healthcare industry. Ruby was a gifted painter, often doing oil paintings and sceneries.

Ruby is survived by her sons: Neal Morse and David Nothstine; daughters: Kathy Hopkins and Mourning Lauritzen; grandsons: Tanner Mosley, Sean Jackson, Harley Stewart, Brady Lauritzen, Paxton Morse, Joe Nothstine, David Nothstine II, Cody Allen, and Ben Allen; granddaughters: Heather Almquist, Morgan Morse, Cayce Davis, Danielle Morse, Rebecca Morse, Jennifer Nothstine, and Allison Nothstine. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Ruby is preceded in death by her son, Joe Nothstine a,nd her granddaughter, Amber McRoberts.

A service will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia on Friday, March 13, 2020, beginning at 2 pm. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 pm till service time. Steve Swango will be officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, TN.
