Mrs. Ruby L. Odom Massey, age 67, resident of Enterprise Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Massey will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, October 25, 2010 in the chapel of the Williams Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Randy McNeece officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Born December 8, 1942 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late George Odom and Ada Louise Angus Odom Hanvy. She was married for 50 years to Paul Massey of Mt. Pleasant. She was presently working as a cook for Kat s Caf . She had worked for 17 years for Publix Shirt Factory and for 14 years at GE. She enjoyed Mule Day, camping and going to the river. She was of the Church of Christ faith.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Tammy Terry Cook and Terri Randall Johnson Massey both of Mt. Pleasant; three grandsons, Ricky Cook and Justin Cook both of Mt. Pleasant and Brennon Massey of Summertown; special nieces, Amanda Odom, Bethany Asbury and Amber Asbury all of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by infant son and daughter, sisters, Betty Ann Bartek, Carolyn Bentley and Mary Massie, and brothers, Robert Earl Odom and William Odom.
Active pallbearers will be Ricky Cook, Randall Johnson, Randy Workman, Ronnie Workman, Jackie Massey and Wayne Massey. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Cook, Brennon Massey and Friends at Kat s Caf .
