Ruby Holloway Ashmore

April 13, 1920 — February 24, 2004

Mrs. Ruby Jeanette Holloway Ashmore, 83, a resident of Westover Drive, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ashmore will be conducted Thursday, February 26, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Andrew Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Summertown native was the daughter of the late Lee A. and Lucy Ann Lee Holloway. She was the widow of P.B. Ashmoreand had been a resident of Columbia for 56 years. She was retired from Parks-Belk and was a member of the Jackson Heights Church of Christ. She was a seamstress and loved to crochet and travel, having made many trips to California.

She is survived by nieces nephews, cousins, and care givers, James Albert and Martha Morgan. She was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Pigg; two brothers, Curtiss Holloway and Aaron Holloway.

Pallbearers will be the men of the Jackson Heights Church of Christ.
