Ruby Lee Clay, age 70, passed away October 3, 2022 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. Ruby was born January 1, 1952 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late Andrew Otto Allgood and Omie Inez Hawkins Allgood.
Ruby was a strong intelligent woman. She lived her life with an easy-going attitude, she took joy in her family and the simple things in life. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved Star Trek and enjoyed sharing sci-fi and space odysseys with her grandchildren. Ruby is well loved by her family and she will be dearly missed.
Ruby is survived by her husband: Lelland Clay; children: Sherry (Randall) Jones, Leeland Clay, and Robert (Sheila) Clay; grandchildren: Bobby Smith, Wilson Smith, Kendra Clay, Michael Clay, and Kaelah (Michael) Flynn; great-grandchildren: John Teague, Courtney Smith, Toby Flynn, and Linden Flynn; siblings: Margaret Blevins, Nina Wittington, and Ricky (Vicky) Allgood; Ruby is preceded in death by her siblings: Andrew Allgood, Shirley Moody, and Mildred Allgood.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
