Mrs. Ruby Adell Howell Boyd, age61, a resident of North Locust Street in Mt. Pleasant, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 4, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Boyd will be conducted Sunday June 7, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Emily Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 until 7:00P.M. at the funeral home.

Born on April 12, 1948 in Maury County, Ruby was the daughter of Dorothy Head Howell of Columbia and the late Marion Howell. Ruby was the wife of Charles Boyd for forty four years of Mt. Pleasant. She was an LP.N. at the Pediatric Clinic in Columbia. Ruby was of Baptist Faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter: Lisa Ray Turley of Mt. Pleasant; a grandson: Darrian Griffith of Mt. Pleasant; four sisters: Dorothy Thomas Williams of Culleoka, Doris Dillehay of Mt. Pleasant, Sherry Wayne Overstreet, Joan Sunny Ray Rice of Columbia; one brother: Robert Howell of Columbia; brothers and sisters in laws: David Linda Boyd of Mt. Pleasant, Shirley and Dr. Ernie Cube of Radford, Virginia, Donnie Carol Boyd and Sue Boyd of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Natalie Boyd, a brother, Mark Leroy Howell and a brother-in-law: William Boyd.

Pallbearers will be Destry Boyd, Derek Boyd, Lance Boyd, Kevin Boyd, Breck Boyd and Bobby Boyd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr Moataz Toban, nurses at CCU at Maury Regional Medical Center and Sue Boyd.
