Mr. Roy Douglas "Doug" Runions, 55, of North Country Home Road, in Union City, died April 27, 2003 in Hampshire, Tennessee from an extended illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Runions will be conducted Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Coble officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pisgah Cemetery in Hampshire.
The Hampshire, Tennessee native was the son of the late Roy Henry Runions and the late Nancy L. Dunn Runions. He was employed at Cotton Gins as a ginner. Mr. Runions was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
Mr. Runions is survived by a daughter, Amanda Faye Ward of Union City, TN; a grandson, Cody Lee Ward of Union City, TN; five brothers, Billy Runions of Lawernceburg, Charles Runions, Jerry Runions, Johnny Runions of Hohenwald, and Larry Runions of Hampshire; two sisters, Beatrice Burlison of Hollow Rock, and Dorothy Conner of Hampshire.
Mr. Runions is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Henry and Nancy Dunn Runions.
Pallbearers for Mr. Runions will be Jonathan Ward, Raymond Conner Jr., Bradley Runions, Michael Runions, William Runions, and Michael McAbee.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Runions Jr., Jerry Wayne Runions, Sylvester Mandrell, Stevie Runions, and James Runions.
