Roy “Sam” Brantley, Jr., age 63, passed away at his residence in Columbia, Tennessee on Thursday, May 15, 2014.
Sam was born on July 28, 1950 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Roy Samuel Brantley, Sr. and Linda Boatwright Altmann. He was the husband of Denise P. Brantley. Sam co-owned and operated Hardison’s TV in Columbia, Tennessee. He was a lifelong musician in rhythm guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, and vocals.
Sam was an honorary member of the stubborn and bullheadness club. Sam cherished his grandkids and leaves his musical legacy to his family.
Sam is survived by his wife Denise Brantley; sons “Roy” Samuel Brantley III (Tiffany), Charles Tauno “Tom” Brantley; grandson Samuel Eugene “Sammy” Brantley II; granddaughters Caitlyn Cheyenne Brantley, Charleigh Lynn Brantley, Leann Faith Brantley, and Olivea Grayce Brantley.
Sam is predeceased by son Samuel Eugene Brantley.
A memorial service will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee on Saturday May 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM.
The family will hold a musical celebration of life at Woodland Park in the Rotary Pavilion and amphitheater in Columbia, Tennessee on June 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
